Pheasant

The pheasant is a medium-sized bird, as It weighs about 0.45 kg, and its wingspan is about 31 cm.

Pheasants share many favorite types of food with peacocks. Such as insects, worms, invertebrates, seeds, grains and flowers.

A gorgeous bird

It is also known as the Impeyan Pheasant . Its original homeland is the Himalayas. It is also relatively large, reaching 71 cm in length. Males can weigh up to 2.60 kg, while females weigh about 2.36 kg.

The male of the beautiful wrasse has a green crest of feathers on his head, like a cap, which is long and shiny, and a neck with thick, colorful feathers, with a tail with copper-red feathers. He also has a large white spot on his buttocks, which appears when he flies. As for the female wrasse, they are less colorful. Its upper parts are covered with black feathers mottled with brown. Magnificent wrasses love heights, and they feed on grasses, seeds, fruits, berries, insects, and small mammals. Their diet depends mainly on invertebrates and plants. They are also skilled at digging to obtain plant tubers and subterranean insects.

Bright quetzal bird

The Resplendent Quetzal lives in Mexico and western Panama. It is distinguished by its bright green body, combined with bluish-violet, in addition to its red fringed feathers in the chest area, which look like a helmet, in addition to the soft, ruffled green feathers on its head.

The bright quetzal lives in forests, mountains, and pastures. It also lives solitary, until mating time. Adults eat fruit near the tips of tree branches, while young chicks eat insects and some types of fruits.

Turquoise-browed matmot bird

The Turquoise-browed Motmot lives in Central America. It has a medium-sized blue-gray body and a long tail that ends with rocket-shaped feathers. It is a non-migratory bird and is active during the day.

You can see the Turquoise-browed Timber in its habitat on fences, wires or trees, and it is always looking for small reptiles and insects to eat. It also begins its life as a pair, and then lives in large colonies.

Wilson’s bird of paradise
