Preparing The Female And Male Goldfinch For The Mating Season

It is axiomatic for every breeder who wants to produce goldfinch in a cage  to have a female and a male goldfinch,  each one in his own cage, and I say female and male, so as not to disturb anyone who wants to produce.  Some breeders  choose more than one female and more than one male and work on them for the next mating season, because this increases  the chance of success of the mating process, unlike relying on one female and one male, but with only two couples, the opportunity remains viable if the female is good and the male as well

The stage of preparation for mating begins at the beginning of spring.

The process of preparing the couple for the mating season is easy,   and it is based on paying attention to healthy food, hygiene  , sunbathing  , and showering   . At this stage, each bird – male and female – is in its own cage.

• The female should have more hardened eggs than the male

Apple cider vinegar can be added to  drinking water in an amount that does not exceed five drops, or it can be added to bathing water in a small amount. Each region has its own way of supplying the goldfinch with food, and here I recommend relying on 3 main materials: almonds , niger , and camemuz with beech seeds or a mixture of what was previously mentioned after passing the stage of changing the feathers. By about a month, and depending on healthy nutrition, as mentioned, the production process will be on its way to start.
