Taming A Casco Parrot

Today our topic is how to tame a casco parrot

There are two types of casco parrot ( Dutch  and  African ).

There are  rumors  that say that  the Dutch  have a weaker immunity than the African, but they are just empty talk. They both have the same immunity.

The difference remains that  the Dutchman  is easier to train than the African one, and this is because he deals with humans from a young age. Therefore, for every beginner who wants to tame a Casco parrot, I advise him to use  the Dutchman  because it is easy.

There are several ways to tame a parrot. We will discuss the easiest:

– First of all, you must be very patient with him, especially if he is an African, because he is very stubborn.

When buying a parrot, I completely forget that it is a bird and imagine that it is a small child starting to learn.

– After that, leave him in a cage for one to two weeks to get used to the place.

– Serve him food yourself so he can get to know you and your family members.

– When he adapts at home, try to offer him food, but calmly, never be afraid of him or his bite when feeding him.

– At first, you should not touch him when you are offering him food that you do not touch

Try to talk to him in a calm voice so he can reassure you.

– Try to touch him and do not be stubborn with him if he refuses and do not force him to touch him by force, but repeat it so that he reassures himself and surrenders and lets you touch him.

– Try to sit with him more often.

– Over time, make your room his home and his cage that he uses to eat in and go out of, and do not close the cage door on him at all.

I am against secondary factors such as (gloves, etc.) to approach him or touch him.
