Among the most prominent types or mutations of color fisher birds that were obtained through selective breeding are the following:

Blue fisher birds

Blue Fisher birds are characterized by a light blue back, tail, and chest. The top of their head is light gray, the rest of their head is white, and their beak is light pink.

Lutino fisher birds

This mutation or type of fisher bird can be obtained after completely removing the trace of green melanin from the bird’s body, so that it appears almost completely yellow in color, as the back, tail, and chest are bright yellow, the beak is red, and the head is orange, with a little red on the face.

Albino fisher birds

In it, the fisher bird appears in a pale yellow color, and their eyes are red or pink in color due to the lack of iris pigment. This type is considered one of the rare species of fisher birds.

Cinnamon fisher birds

It is one of the beautiful mutations in which the bird’s feathers and beak appear cinnamon (light brown) instead of the traditional green color.

Pied fisher birds

The pied fisher bird is characterized by the presence of spots of a different color on its feathers due to the lack of melanin pigment in those areas. This mutation tends to appear in different colors depending on the original dominant color of the bird. For example, the green pite bird has yellow spots; That is, it is green in color with yellow spots on it, while the blue pied fisher usually has white spots; That is, it is blue in color with white spots on it.

Dark Eyed White Fisher

It is one of the unique mutations of Fisher’s lovebirds. The mutation occurs due to the presence of a recessive gene that results in a bird with a completely white body, red eyes, and a pink beak. This type differs significantly from other species of Fisher’s lovebirds, which are usually bright green in color, with spots. Orange or red color on the top of the face.

Dilute  fisher birds

These fisher birds either have lighter blue plumage on the feathers; It has greenish-blue feathers on its wings, back, and head, and the color of these feathers may range from white-blue to dark blue and slate, and it is one of the rare mutations that occur due to decreased melanin production.

Birds may be yellow in this mutation, and are characterized by a light yellow-green body, a light yellow face, the wings are slightly darker than the body feathers, and they have bright orange eyes.
