 Too much humidity or too little humidity

Humidity is considered one of the important factors in the life of birds, especially during the production period. It is one of the important factors that plays a fundamental role in stimulating birds to produce. On average, the humidity during the production period reaches between 30 degrees Celsius and 60 degrees as a maximum. This value, which is limited to between 30 and 60, is where the body is. In a state of balance in which it does not feel either extreme cold or extreme heat, as is the case with birds, this is why humidity has an effect, either positive if it is at its normal levels on the bird’s egg shell in general, or negative: if it is very low, it causes drying of the internal and external egg shell and hinders breathing. However, if the humidity is very high, it also has a negative effect, which is, firstly, preventing the stability of the natural temperature that is issued by the mother bird during incubation, which is 37.7 degrees Celsius, so it is difficult for the bird embryos to form inside the egg naturally, and the result is that their growth is either delayed or completely stopped. Abnormal temperature

As I previously indicated in the first paragraph, as is the case with immoderate humidity, we find that temperature is one of the most important factors that affect the production of birds in a significant way, and even the life of birds in general. In other words, it controls the functions of the body as a whole in all creatures, as is the case in birds. The evidence for this is their behaviors such as the changing period, the rest period, the mating period, etc., from the periods of the life of birds in particular and the life of creatures in general, so that we do not delve too deeply into the natural temperature that they need. For all embryos in all animals, whether mammals or birds, to grow normally in the egg or in the uterus, they range approximately between 37.5 and 37.9 degrees Celsius, and on average it is approximately 37.7, which is the internal temperature that allows the embryos to grow well and naturally. This is of course in relation to body temperature, as for room temperature. It will be between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius, and this value is the correct value that the body of most bird species adopts in stimulating the hormones for mating. This temperature is mostly in the spring and may vary slightly from one country to another depending on several factors, including the nature of the climate, the location of the country, and also according to latitudes. The important thing is that most birds, meaning 99 percent of them, do not prepare to produce until after the daylight hours become at least approximately equal to the nighttime hours. That is, after daylight hours reach 12 hours or more. Therefore, interference with the lighting system in an unnatural way negatively affects the nature of production and even the life of birds in general, which negatively affects the behavior of birds and the way they incubate eggs.

The eggs crack several days before the hatching date

One of the most important influences that prevent baby birds from emerging from their eggs, and even stops the baby from sleeping and dying most of the time. As for the causes of this problem, we find several reasons among them, among which I mention

* Putting on an inappropriate ring, such as the rings that are installed on birds after they reach puberty, which are rings that are open and have sharp sides, also cause problems.
* The length of the nails of birds, especially the female, the longer the nails. The longer the more likely it is to get stuck to the threads of the nest while the female bird is perching on her eggs. After she gets up from the nest, her long nails get stuck in the threads, and she moves the eggs very violently, causing the eggs to collide with each other and crack.

One of the reasons that prevent the embryos from growing inside the egg is that the female gets up from the nest too frequently, and the reason is that the temperature drops very sharply, especially after the first two days of the mother incubating the eggs.

The female’s lack of experience in incubating and turning eggs

Another reason for the death of the young is the virgin mother’s lack of experience in dealing with incubating eggs and her falling into the presence of what was previously mentioned in the previous paragraphs.

There are many factors such as black spot and many hereditary diseases. As a simple explanation, it is a gene carried on the birds’ chromosomes. It is recessive, meaning it is not affected by it. Birds that carry it on their genes, but it appears when two birds who carry it mate and produce it. All the young that meet the genome die. The lethal factor is from the kidneys of the parents during their formation, and the effect is divided into two types: either the death of the young inside the egg when its growth stops at one of the stages or after it emerges from the egg, and the young often does not exceed three days.
